2 Major Flaws
Okay, so you're serious about earning
full time income with a home based business and you're taking a look at
LifePath Unlimited. All you really want to know is the facts, so you
can decide for yourself if Life Path Unlimited is a legitimate company
and if you can make money with a Life Path business.
Problem is, there's so much conflicting information online. And so much
of it is hyperbole and exaggeration, going both ways. You've read the
Life Path reviews claiming this is the yellow brick road to fabulous
riches. And you've seen LifePath complaints screaming: "Life Path Scam!"
So if you're serious about looking for a legitimate way to make money
online and investigating Life Path, but feeling overwhelmed by the
information overload...
I know exactly what you're going through!
Because not too long ago I was in the exact same place you are right
now. I was surfing around on the internet, trying to finds some honest
answers, and trying to separate the truth from the fiction and choose
the right business to join.
When I first looked at Life Path Unlimited, I was intrigued by the
promise of earning big commissions. The reason I started network
marketing in the first place was that I was downsized from a six figure
sales position, and I needed to find a way to make that same kind of
money working from home so I would have more freedom in my lifestyle and more time to spend with my family.
In addition, I'm a student of personal development and a big fan of
guys like Tony Robbins, Jeffery Combs, Zig Ziglar. I've read "Think and
Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill a good dozen times, and chapters 2 & 3,
where the real meat is, I've probably read 20 times each.
So at first glance, everything about the LifePath Unlimited business
seemed to be a good match for me and what I was looking for in a home
based business.
But then, after I dug a little deeper, I uncovered two glaring flaws:
Flaw Number One: The product is very expensive, and artificially
expensive. Which means there's no real stand-alone value, and you're
dealing with a very small potential customer base because there's just
not that many people out there who are willing to spend that kind of
money, especially in this economy.
Flaw Number Two: The Company doesn't have a strong online presence or a
culture that embraces online marketing. They're not familiar with
advanced marketing techniques, and they don't have comprehensive
training for new team members to learn how to become successful
marketers.

Life Path Unlimited - A Comprehensive Review
Everything You Need To Know - BEFORE You Make A Decision
If you've been doing your research on
LifePath Unlimited you already know there's a lot of noise online, a
lot of hype and misinformation going both ways.
Half the reviews you read are screaming "LifePath Scam!", while the
other half make it sound like God's gift to humanity. There are a lot
of LifePath complaints, particularly from new distributors who didn't
get the training or coaching they needed. And then there are glowing
LifePath reviews from veteran up-liners.
So how do you get past all the noise and just get the truth?
My goal is to cut through all that nonsense and just give you the
straight facts about LifePath Unlimited, so that you can make an
educated business decision for yourself.
Before you start any business - online or brick-and-mortar - you owe it
to yourself to get all the facts up-front. Start up costs. Monthly
costs. Training. Coaching. Systems.
And you should have a crystal clear idea of exactly what you'll need to
do in order to build a successful business in terms of marketing
strategies & techniques. Not theoretical fluff or "rah-rah"
motivation. I'm talking about detailed, concrete action steps that you
can take every single day.
Here's a simple detailed breakdown of exactly what you can expect with
LifePath, so you can make up your own mind whether or not it's a good
fit for you.
The first thing you want to understand is that before you can earn
commissions from selling LifePath Unlimited, you first have to buy the
products yourself, and there's 3 products: Discovery, Breakthrough, and
Destiny.
Discovery is a home study course they ship to your house. It comes with
audio CDs, a journal and a workbook. And there's also a 45 minute DVD
which is like an introductory promotional movie. The price tag on that
is $1,695.
Breakthrough is a 3 day conference that will cost you $8,995. For that
you get to attend seminars, listen to motivational speakers, and take
part in various mind/body exercises leading up to the main event, which
is a fire-walk.
Destiny is a 5 day conference with live events and self development
training, and it ends in a big costume party. For all that, they want
you to pay $14,995.
You're not required to buy all 3 products up-front but if you want to
earn the commission you have to spend the money. So, realistically,
you're looking at an initial investment of $25,685 to get started with
LifePath Unlimited as a home based business.
And that's not including a marketing budget or training platform.
$26K is a pretty big chunk of change, and here's the question: "What do I actually get for spending all that money?"
The basic LifePath pitch is that by joining the program, you're getting
access to great personal development strategies and teachers that will
help you achieve a real breakthrough in your life.
Now, I'm all for personal development and community-building amongst
like-minded people. And many of the speakers involved in the LifePath
Conferences seem very energetic and fun to be around.
But look closely and you'll see that none of the big names in personal
development are involved with LifePath Unlimited. Not the ones that
major Fortune 100 companies trust, guys like Jack Canfield or Marc
Victor Hanson.
And here's the thing. I can go to a live 4-Day Tony Robbins event
(including coursework, CDs, and the whole fire-walk experience) for
only $600. I mean, compare 4 days live with the number one reigning
personal development guru of our time, Tony Robbins, for $600, versus a
5 day conference with lesser-known speakers for $15,000.
The bottom line here is that if you're looking for elite personal
development, you can get far superior training, products and services,
for a lot less money.
So when it comes to LifePath at $26K, you have to ask: why the big mark-up?
And the answer is simple. That's how LifePath pays out their commissions.
If you were to pay $26K to buy all three products, 60% of your money
would go directly to your sponsor in the form of commissions. In other
words, it's a bloated price-tag to pay the distributor, and the product
itself is not worth anything near what you pay for it.
So let's be honest here. LifePath Unlimited is essentially a business opportunity to sell a business opportunity. And I'm not saying that's wrong. Certainly some people do okay in that business model.
For me personally, it's important to promote a reasonably priced
product that provides real value to my customers and a very lucrative money making opportunity for myself and my team.
But the biggest flaw with LifePath Unlimited is the lack of online
marketing savvy. This is an old fashioned company that doesn't embrace
cutting edge marketing techniques.
They're still teaching new distributors to buy leads form a lead
broker, send prospects to the corporate replicate site, and pitch their
"warm" market of friends and family.
They're not familiar with advanced marketing techniques, and there's no
comprehensive training platform or duplicatable marketing system in
place for new team members to learn how to become successful marketers.
The lack of coaching and mentorship regarding online marketing
strategies and techniques is probably the number on reason for all the
LifePath complaints. And it's a valid point. How can you build a
successful business if you don't know how to market effectively and
leverage the power of automated systems?
At the same time, everyone is responsible for their own decisions, and
a little due diligence would have uncovered that info before the seed
money was spent. So you have to take all the complainers with a grain
of salt.
To be perfectly fair, Lifepath Unlimited does not misrepresent itself.
There's nothing underhanded going on here. It just is what it is.
So is LifePath Unlimited a Scam? Absolutely not. It's a legitimate business where some people make money.
But just because there's no Life Path Scam doesn't mean it's the appropriate business for you.
If you're serious about working from home and building a real online
business, you can find business opportunities where you can earn a
significant income without having to spend a small fortune just to get
started.
There are sleeker more lucrative opportunities available where you can
promote a reasonably priced product with great value and earn a six
figure income in a manner that is honest and ethical.
In addition, you can join a mentor who knows how to market effectively
online and will teach you the strategies tools and techniques you will
need to build your business quickly and efficiently.
An In-Depth Look At The LifePath Unlimited Business Model
Can YOU Make Money With LifePath?
If you're seriously considering Life
Path, the number one question you need t ask is this: "Can I Make Money
With a LifePath Unlimited Business?" (especially in this economy)
Previously we evaluated LifePath Unlimited to see if it's the right fit for you.
We talked about how the cost for LifePath products, at $25,685 to get
started, is really just an inflated price-tag in order to pay out
commissions - especially when you compare it with something like an
elite personal development retreat with Tony Robbins at $600.
Now for someone like myself, that's a deal breaker. I need to be
involved with a product that offers real, stand-alone value and is
reasonably priced.
But I understand that not everyone feels the same way. So if you're the
kind of person who doesn't mind paying the bloated price-tag up-front
as you can turn around and try to earn the big commissions on the back
end, what we're going to do right now is drill down further and
evaluate LifePath strictly as a business model.
The most important factor to consider, no matter what online business you choose, is how you're going to market the product.
And that's another major weakness with LifePath Unlimited.
As a company, they're not very savvy with online marketing. There are
no skilled marketing mentors to learn from, and the company doesn't
offer a comprehensive training program or system that you can duplicate
and apply to your business.
LifePath mostly teaches marketing the old fashioned ways: do home
meetings, put up flyers, bug your friends and family, make a "memory
jogger" list of everyone you know, and use the "3 foot rule" to harass
strangers at the grocery store.
Those are out-dated and ineffective marketing tactics. And one of the
big LifePath complaints, especially from "newbies", is the lack of
proper coaching and guidance. How can you build a business unless you
know how to generate high quality targeted leads?
LifePath does have something called Plan B Pro System, with Jenn
Lawlor, to help get leads. And although I think Jenn is a great leader
and charismatic personality, the system itself is pretty clunky.
Basically, you have to pay $497 for a "share" in their marketing co-op,
which is essentially one guy doing AdWords running a PPC campaign for
the entire group. So everyone pitches in, and then, depending on how
many shares you pay for, you're getting a percentage of those leads on
a rotation.
First off, $497 only gets you 2-3 leads a day. If you want more leads,
you need to buy more shares. So in addition to the $26K to get started,
you're looking at a monthly advertising budget of another couple
thousand dollars, minimum.
But the real issue isn't about cost - it's about running an effective
business. And the real problem with Plan B Pro System is you don't have
control over your own advertising.
Be letting someone else do your PPC for you, you're not really taking
ownership of your own business and you're not learning how to market.
Think about it. You don't get to choose what niches to target and you haven't done any personal branding.
Here's how it works. You get a spreadsheet with name, number and email, and then you become a cod caller.
These leads have no idea who you are, because you haven't done any
personal branding. They probably don't even know about LifePath. Many
times these "leads" just filled out a very general from, like "Do you
want to make money from home?"
When you follow up, you're still out there cold calling, taking u tons
of your time introducing yourself and explaining the business. You have
to deal with getting rejected or wasting hours on the phone with tire
kickers. Or you get people who may love the business but just don't
have the money to join.
In other words, you're paying for unqualified leads and wasting a lot
of your time prospecting - and that's no way to build a business.
Look, no matter what business you join, you're going to need to learn how to market effectively.
That means taking control of your own AdWords campaigns, so you can
spend less money, get better results, and target a very specific
audience. It also means that you use personal branding and attraction
marketing to establish a presence online and make a real human
connection with your prospects.
Then you then have to supplement your paid advertising by learning the
basic principles of SEO and how to use the various Web 2.0 platforms -
like video, articles, and social media - to generate quality leads for
FREE to lower your marketing costs and maximize your profits.
Either you know how to do this already, or you need someone to show you how.
The problem with Life Path Unlimited is, since they don't know how to
market effectively online, there's no one to teach or mentor you as a
newbie. And that for me was the biggest flaw of all.
Because the bottom line in this industry is this: the surest path to
success is to find a mentor who knows what they're doing and can teach
you to duplicate their proven marketing methods.
And Life Path Unlimited just can't offer that.
Summary of LifePath Unlimited Review: There's no such thing as a
"LifePath Unlimited Scam". This is a legitimate business where some
people can make decent money.
But there are sleeker more lucrative opportunities available, and no
matter how you slice it, even looking past the hefty price-tag and
simply considering it as a pure business opportunity, the LifePath
Unlimited business model comes up short in my estimation.

Whoa- your blog is a godsend. I almost bit on LifePath; I saw a fairly well-done ad in HomeBusiness mailer/mag I got recently. I expect to get mail like this as I am interested in money-making opportunities; been searching over a year for a 6-figure home-based business opportunity that would allow me to replace my blue-collar income and get out of the proverbial ratrace. I've been getting emails from a LifePath person who calls herself the "HomeBusinessDiva". I'll surely bet you've heard of her. I was once burned by an MLM: remember "Equinox, unltd."? Luckily I was too broke at the time to get in very deep, as the "trainings" also ran into the multi-thousands and promised downlines in the hundreds "if you get in NOW!"! Have to say I really feel you, Will. Maybe this is pre-ordained? I see-saw back-and-forth all the time between excitement and disappointment when I learn the skinny on these myriad miracle money-making opportunities. I hope to read more from you. I hope I can afford your coaching/mentoring fees; I am motivated to get something going as e-commerce is exploding and I am still on the sidelines. Thanks again for a great heads-up!
I wish I had read your article sooner. Now I'm litigating LPU for a refund.
Thankgod i read your post. Wow- I too have been looking for a home based business opportunity for the past year. I was nearly seduced by jeremy Miner, whom I'm sure is fantastic at what he does, but I certainly don't have 25K to spend walking on hot coals!! then with my burnt feet and a straight face sell the outrageously expensive product to some other poor sucker.
I too see- saw between disappointment and excitement then disappointment again. I guess the see- sawing is part of living in times of virtual reality? You hear of 6 figure incomes, you see pictures of people sipping pina coladas next to palm trees or standing next to their audi 4 wheel drives (SUV). You visualise this for yourself and how how yes you too can have all this!!!.Its not like walking in to a shop and holding something tangible that you can smell or feel. Its virtual reality. Then you search further in to the depths of the internet and you read blogs and comments re the low down of a particular company and the disappointmment sets in again.I am more than willing to put the hours in and am clever enough not to expect 'millionaire' status overnight, but for goodness sake is there anything out there that is ethical, worthwhile and real??? thanks again for your comments. I'll keep investigating and see- sawing!!!
Thank you for the in depth review, honesty is key in business you have shown that here. There products are very high end indeed.
Interesting post. I was contacted by lifepath unlimited and I'm still not sure what they sell.

You did a very good job in that video describing Life Path Unlimited. I'm more of a honest person that wants to sell people something with value at a reasonable cost. It seems that Life Path is selling their products at a high markup and I just don't agree with it if you can get the same product for cheaper and for better elsewhere. I want to be involved in an opportunity that is trustworthy and effective for my customers. I like how you mentioned honesty and being ethical. I want to feel truly satisfied when helping others. Essentially I don't want to rip them off. And if this opportunity falls into that category of providing quality services/products to customers then I'm willing to hear what it is all about. I don't care for making millions. I only want to make enough to live, enjoy my life, and enjoy helping others the right way.
I already have my own business doing technical consulting for businesses, but I'd like to make an additional income on the side doing something more than working on computers and programming customized applications/systems. Honestly I'd like to move away from computers and do something else for a living. However I keep that job because it's what I know how to do and it pays the bills. I look forward to hearing from you. Take care,
Brandon Drake
